Gustavo Trifari, SR. and Leo Krussmann. Trifari made it and Krussmann sold it. In 1930 European designer Alfred Philippe joined them as chief designer.

Trifari is on of the oldest and most prolific costume jewelry makers. It is understandable that not all Trifari pieces are signed. In the 1940’s they produced sterling silver jewelry with a gold wash. Designer Alfred Philippe joined Trifari as chief designer in 1930 after designing jewelry for Cartier.  Trifari's brilliant marketing campaign, beginning in 1938, made it a household word.  Their sterling silver crowns and jelly belly pins are among the most famous and collectable.
